1-2 round Clio cup Italia by Renault 2010 Monza 9/11 Aprile

Victory and two podiums at the start of the season at Monza.

The first week end of the Composit Motorsport starts in the best way, one podium in race-1 with Marchetti and one victory in race-2 with Ricciarini.

The reigning team presented itself on top form at the first appointment at Monza and placed its cars at the top of the rankings since the qualifying heats.

In race-1 the victory fled to Paolo and Marco Ansaloni’s team only because of a electric black-out on Ricciarini’s car. An inconvenient absolutely independent of the team’s job that robbed the team of a certain victory, in fact Ricciarini was leading the race in that moment.

Anyway in the first race arrived the very good second position of Ronnie Marchetti, a protagonist of the weekend and very fit as well.

In race-2 Ricciarini, very steady after the inconvenient of the day before, showed the best performance of his Clio RS 2.0, taking the lead after the few laps and winning the second round on the very fast track of Monza imperatively .

The next race will be on the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit at Imola, on May 15th .

Paolo Ansaloni – Team Manager Composit Motorsport:

“We are satisfied even if we found an electric problem on Ricciarini’s car, in both the races. This problem made us lose the chance of winning the first race and came back again Sunday’s race, this time without prejudicing the final result fortunately. We will analyze inside out the reason because the car is new…”

Marco Ansaloni – Sporting Director Composit Motorsport:

“In both the races the fight has been very hard in every point of the ranking and some of our driver had some unlucky touches and finished not very well. We will schedule other training tests in the next weeks, in order to prepare the second round at Imola.”

1-2 round Clio cup Italia by Renault 2010 Monza 9/11 April

Composit Motorsport: the Championship starts at Monza

The long winter of tests is finished, everything is ready to face the first important race of the Italian Clio Cup Championship on the very fast circuit at Monza. The Team run by the Ansaloni brothers is the reigning champion in both the ranking, team and driver, for this reason will show off the number one on Ricciarini’s car.
The Composit Motorsort carried out the last test on the track Franciacorta, near Brescia, with the drivers Enrico Dell’Onte, Piero Foglio, Giuliano Lolli, Daniele Pasquali e Cristian Ricciarini and everything went well.
The team will line up at the first race of the Italian Championship on the Monza’s circuit nine cars and the staff want to keep any driver to the top of the ranking.
One of the secret to be competitive since the first race is the tuning up of the cars and the hard job done by the Composit during the winter will make the difference.

Paolo Ansaloni – Team Manager Composit Motorsport:
“One of the most important thing of the first race will be the new engine, it needs to have covered a quite number of kilometers, for this reason is very important to run in it before the first race. We have made this job during the test and I am confident that it will give us a little advantage. Our drivers are in a good shape, Ricciarini, Lenzotti and Marchetti have good chances to stay in the front but also Daniele can put any top driver on the spot and win. Zanini improved very much as well, and he is another probable winner. Among the top driver I see also Pasquali, Lolli, Foglio, Anselmo and dell’Onte, they made a good job and improved very much as well, for this I am sure that they will have great satisfactions this season.”

Marco Ansaloni – Sporting Director Composit Motorsport:
“We trained very much and worked very hard, taking care of any single detail tuning up the cars, as is usual for us. We made long test days on the circuits where will take place the Championship and we took care of any driver, so that they could arrive to the first race in best condition of the car. This is the secret of our success in the past and …. I hope in the future as well.”
